Reiki is an ancient form of hands on healing that deepens the connection to the spirit within. as it permeates the cells of the body, this subtle force re-awakens your powers of growth and self-development.
Reiki is a Japanese word that translate to mean, universal life force and was re-discovered by a Japanese man; Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s and brought to America through Hawaya Takata, a Japanese American who traveled to Japan from Hawaii for healing. Experiencing the profound effects of Reiki, Mrs. Takata asked to be initiated into the Usui method of natural healing. She returned to her home in Hawaii attuning 22 Reiki masters before her passing in 1980. We are deeply grateful to her for the gift, as Reiki is now available globally.
A symbol based modality; Reiki is passed from teacher to student through an attunement or initiation. It enables a person to channel greater amounts of life-force energy, and form a partnership with the healing universe.
Reiki is based upon simple and timeless principles to live by:
*Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
*Just for today, do not anger
*Devote yourself to your work and be kind to people
*Every day join your hands in prayer
*Reiki is for the improvement of body and mind.
Reiki has evolved from its early beginnings as it has quickly become a household name.
Anyone with the desire may become a practitioner. Hospitals now recognize the benefits of healing touch and offer it to patients for healing, and to nurses for continuing education.
Reiki has evolved due to millions of practitioners globally who use it as a resource to heal themselves, the community, and the world.
Self-development elevates one to the awareness of the love we are made of, and the love that unites us. Utilizing life-force energy awakens the soul to living extra-ordinary lives.
